I created a fictional company, Flora Oasis, and designed a brand identity to represent the company's personality. Through the logo and brand guidelines, I represented the personality of the company to build trust and a connection with their customers.

Flora Oasis Description

Flora Oasis is a local Texas nursery that nurtures seedlings until they are old enough for customers to purchase. At Flora Oasis, trees, shrubs, flowers, perennials, and annuals are grown. They focus on helping people get into planting and continue growing plants. Flora Oasis provides accessible plants for people’s desired gardens and greenhouses. Also for plant restoration and landscaping.

Target Audience

The customers are people who live in Texas and are interested in growing and taking care of plants. They are people who enjoy being outside, near nature. The customer can be both knowledgeable and unknowledgeable about plants. Ages range from 16 to 60 years.

Objective

Create a cohesive brand for Flora Oasis by creating a logo and brand guidelines to help the company increase the number of customers and create a loyal relationship with their customers. Increasing the number of customers will increase the growth and restoration of plant life.

Concept

Combining typography and illustration to create an emblem logo. Use the oak tree to convey that the company is a local Texas nursery. Use the letters intertwining with a tree branch to convey the importance of connecting people with nature.

Solution

Our emblem logo embodies our story and communicates the importance of growing life. The symbol on our logo is a tree branch that represents the continuation of life as an extension of the tree. The leaves on the tree branch are illustrated as oak tree leaves, a native tree to Texas. The lighter green color represents nature and growth. The darker green color conveys hope and the feeling of serenity that nature brings. The golden brown color evokes a feeling of warmth and comfort. Our name was placed on the tree branch, using a script font to appear like vines are twining on a tree branch to represent the connection between humans and nature.
